are discovering research for the first time, or you have completed multiple semesters
of research under the guidance of our faculty, we welcome you to the CURS Undergraduate
Research Community.
With great mentorship, comes great mentors! We celebrate our mentors Nov 10-14 with fun gifts and treats to say thank you. Look for us in the JSAC to get a gift for your research mentor.
Every spring, CURS celebrates undergraduate student researchers during Undergraduate Research Week. Events include the annual Undergraduate Research and Fine Arts (URFA) Conference, a Faculty Mentor Reception, and other special recognitions. The 2026 URFA conference will take place March 2026. Information, including the call for abstracts, will be made available January 2026.

The Arsenal is ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Undergraduate Research Journal. It is sponsored by CURS in collaboration with Reese Library and CURS Ambassadors.
The Arsenal (ISSN 2380-5064 online) is a peer-reviewed, open-access interdisciplinary publication that is dedicated to publishing manuscripts resulting from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ undergraduate research. Each paper published in the The Arsenal undergoes a peer review process facilitated by the journal's Editorial Review Board and must be approved by an appointed faculty reviewer in the paper's respective discipline. The CURS Ambassadors are volunteer undergraduates who commit to helping the CURS office enact our mission and vision within the larger AU community. To be invited as a CURS Ambassador, students must have at least one term of undergraduate research experience, be enrolled as a full-time student, and have demonstrated high standards of professionalism, public speaking, and personal integrity. Hello! My name is Jasmine Baidoo, and I am a senior majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology. In my lab, I am researching how changes in the proteins that organize genes can be used to treat diffuse white matter injuries in the brain of preterm infants. A fun fact about me is that I can play the clarinet.

The CURS Ambassadors host office hours weekly during the academic year to meet with students about undergraduate research.
