Student INQR Experience

Dr. Kelehear engaging with INQR students

"This class has opened my eyes to the many different paths to success and revealed potential I hadn鈥檛 considered before. This semester has been challenging, full of obstacles I鈥檝e never faced, but over the past few weeks I鈥檝e come to realize that college isn鈥檛 just a straight path to success. There are many routes, and each challenge offers opportunities for growth and self-discovery."

- KE

"As a first-year student, it is important to start with a growth mindset because the change from high school to college can become difficult. By having a growth mindset, it helps navigate college life better.鈥

- SH

Dean of Students Scott Wallace listens to INQR students presenting their findings

Students pose with their poster presentation

"The past ten weeks have profoundly impacted my understanding of college and my personal growth. Initially, I approached my college experience with a limited mindset, feeling overwhelmed by uncertainty about my future and the pressure to choose a major. However, through collaboration with classmates and exposure to diverse perspectives, I learned that changing paths is a common part of the journey, which eased my anxieties. This class not only motivated me to focus on my studies but also helped me develop better teamwork skills by encouraging interactions with new people. Overall, I've gained a newfound confidence and appreciation for the experiences that come with stepping outside my comfort zone, paving the way for a more open-minded approach to my college life and future goals."
